My Content Ranking Experiment

Content is king. At least that's a mantra that s drummed into the head of any webmaster hoping to make a living online And to all intents and purposes, we believe it and all try to post relevant content to our sites and blogs But I thought I would really put content to the test I have a few domain names that I have done nothing with. I decided to build a Wordpress blog on one of the domains and to add good quality content to it at least two times a week. I got the idea from the concept of autoblogs. They are blogs that are populated with RSS feeds from other sites. Taking a critical look at the autoblog concept I realized that the distinct advantage they have is regularly updated content Anyway so the idea was that by posting a new article every few days, then I could get the benefits of autoblogging but with one really special advantage.... All my content is original To cut a really long story short, I ended p posting about three times a week simply because I got really involved with the niche the blog is on So blog and ping, blog and ping I must admit that I got some backlinks to the blog. Just 4 and all were unsolicited links from other webmasters [Another big advantage of posting original articles] The results? Currently on page one of the search engine results for the relevant keyword phrase in Yahoo and Google Just in case you are wondering about the competition for the keyword phrase, Google has over two million listings for this keyword. Some would call it a happy coincidence
